2012 Pittsburgh Wine Festival Week Features Exclusive Wine Dinners and Tasting Seminars

 

PITTSBURGH, April 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Pittsburgh Wine Festival week will kick off on Wednesday, May 2, with exclusive wine dinners and tasting seminars. Each event, held at unique venues around the city, will highlight a featured winery and allow guests to sample several wines from the hosted wine maker.

The Riedel Glassware Wine Tasting will take place on Wednesday, May 2, from 6 pm to 7:30 pm, at the Reed Smith 13th Floor Conference Room, located at 225 Fifth Avenue. Each guest will receive a set of four Riedel Vinum Wine Tasting crystal wine glasses accompanied by four three ounce pours from Dreadnought Wines. Guests will also enjoy an amazing view while they listen to an entertaining lecture by Doug Cohn, Riedel Northeastern Regional Sales Manager. Tickets are $125 for a single ticket, $200 for a couple. A portion of the proceeds goes to the American Civil Liberties Union of Pennsylvania.

The University Club will host Chateau Ste. Michelle Wine Estates for a blending seminar at 3:30 pm, followed by a tasting and dinner at 6 pm, on Wednesday, May 2. The dinner will feature wine from Antinori, Villa Maria, Chateau Ste. Michelle, Stag's Leap Wine Cellars, and Spring Valley. Tickets for the blending seminar are $15 and tickets for the tasting and dinner are $150. Please call 412-648-8213 to purchase tickets.

Additional dinners will be held on Wednesday, May 2, at The Carlton, hosting Chateau St. Jean; Donoto's, hosting Ferrari Carano; Sonoma Grill, hosting Chateau Ste. Michelle; and Monterey Fish Grotto, hosting Robert Mondavi Winery.
