TP-Link Chooses LitePoint for 802.11ac Networking Product Development

SUNNYVALE, Calif., June 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- LitePoint® announced today that leading provider of networking products, TP-Link, is using the IQxel™ for 802.11ac networking product development.

Cliff Chao, General Manager of TP-Link, said, "We chose the IQxel for our 802.11ac product development based on our proven record of close partnership with LitePoint.  We have been working with LitePoint for over six years and know we can count on their technology to ensure we ship the highest quality products with the shortest test development cycle."

TP-Link is moving to the IQxel from the LitePoint IQflex® for networking products supporting multiple WiFi standards including 802.11a/b/g/n/ac. The IQxel enables IQflex customers to migrate to the new WiFi test platform seamlessly. Brad Robbins, vice president of Marketing for LitePoint said, "IQxel makes the transition from 802.11n test to 802.11ac easy. Test programs written for previous LitePoint equipment may be fully re-used with the IQxel so customers can be up and running quickly, taking practically no time away from production testing."

802.11ac is the new WiFi standard that enables speeds at least three times faster than the prior generation WiFi, with a much higher quality of coverage. Called "5th generation WiFi" or "Gigabit WiFi," 802.11ac technology enables consumers to watch higher resolution video wirelessly with better quality than ever before; eliminating pixilated screens, choppy video and blurred images.
