Medicine Dispensing Systems Provides Expert Assistance for the Preparation of Arizona Medical Marijuana Dispensary Applications

Thousands of Applications are Expected to be Submitted to the State

HOLLYWOOD, Calif., March 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Medicine Dispensing Systems, Inc. (MDS), a subsidiary of Medbox, Inc. (Pinksheets: MDBX) (www.medboxinc.com) is consulting with companies, groups and individuals on the steps necessary to successfully complete their applications to establish medical marijuana clinics in Arizona. To date, MDS has been hired to consult for over 60 individuals and small groups vying for approval of dispensary certification applications in Arizona, which are limited to a total of 124 approvals statewide.

In 2010, Arizona voters approved Ballot Proposition 203, which allows registered qualifying patients who have a physician's written certification that they have been diagnosed with a debilitating condition that would likely receive benefit from marijuana, to obtain the product from a registered nonprofit dispensary, and to possess and use medical marijuana to treat the condition.

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer recently dropped her lawsuit which had put the application process on temporary hold, and now the Arizona Department of Health Services expects to begin accepting dispensary applications as soon as April 2012.

Medicine Dispensing Systems is a leading consultant and provider of technology-based solutions to the medical marijuana industry, and has experience in every state where the product is now legal. The company is uniquely qualified to assist in the application process as they offer comprehensive services that include securing special zoning permits, lease negotiations, marketing, and specialized clinic equipment.

The company also provides their patented Medicine Dispensing Machines to said clinics, which is the most secure and transparent method to assure patient verification and compliance with all state and local regulations. The system is currently in use by various clinics nationwide, and provides assurance to state and local law enforcement that clinics are being operated legitimately, legally, and in accordance with all statutory regulations.
