Brütsch & Rüegger has Selected Stibo Systems Technology to Manage their Strategic Information

Stibo Systems, the Strategic Information Management Technology and Solutions CompanyTM, today announced that Brütsch/Rüegger Tools, an international distributor of quality tools for measuring, production and assembly technologies as well as standard parts and work protection equipment will be maintaining its strategic information of more than 100,000 products, within Stibo Systems STEP platform.
Brütsch/Rüegger places the highest demands on themselves in terms of customer satisfaction and the required quality of product data and availability. Thus, the service provider opted for the MDM / PIM platform STEP 5.2 from Stibo Systems.

The objective of STEP as the new data hub at Brütsch/Rüegger Tools is flexibility and increase in efficiency in terms of new sales channels like electronic catalogues and web shops and the consolidation of different applications in product information management. Also the printed catalogues will be fed from STEP.

To date, dimensions, for instance, were laid out in one single field so that products could not be sorted separately according to length, height and width. Such strategic information is often a critical factor in the purchasing decision. Brütsch / Rüegger Tools product information is created in German as the master language German and translated into five more languages. The latter will only be used for calculation and planning. This change should lead to optimization of the product lifecycle.
