The Handwork Studio, a kids' needle arts and fashion studio pioneered by mother and Northeastern University business graduate Laura Kelly, begins its second annual Road Tour on June 6th, 2012.  Miss Julia and Miss Alisha, camp and studio directors, respectively, will pack up their fabulous Handwork Studio Mobile (check out a video of just how they'll do it!) with sewing machines, bright bolts of fabric and fun, unique projects galore - everything this dynamic duo needs to deliver the Studio's award winning Handwork Day Camp (ages 5-12) and Machine Sewing & Fashion Camp (ages 10-16) to kids across the country.  The camps themselves are taught by Miss Julia and Miss Alisha, along with a handpicked team of local counselors whose upbeat, warm and friendly demeanors uphold the Handwork Studio's quality of programs. Their camps, with 2500 kids registered this summer, are taught in a safe, fun, positive and caring environment that fosters patience, respect and confidence, where your child gets to explore his or her own creativity while learning new skills such as knitting, sewing, pattern reading, embroidery and more. Similarly, Miss Meredith, a studio instructor and summer camp counselor, will spearhead her own mini Road Tour across New Jersey, stopping along the way in Summit, Avalon, and Montclair.  Along with their Road Tour mascot Sheepy, a palm-sized sheep that shows up just about everywhere, these Handwork mavens epitomize what the Handwork Studio is all about: fun, caring and a sewin' good time.
