SEABROOK, Texas, June 13, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Every day in the United States thirteen people working for a living don't go home alive, and many more go home far from well. If your goal is sending those who work for you home alive and well at the end of every single day – what leader doesn't have that goal – the question you face is simple: what do you do, and how do you do it to make that happen?

Balmert Consulting, a Houston-based management consulting firm, is recognized around the world for providing practical answers to those vitally important questions. Alive And Well At The End Of The Day

Principal Paul Balmert opened the practice in 2000 doing forensic consulting in the aftermath of the failure of a client's safety program. Soon after he wrote the company's flagship courses, Managing Safety Performance: Skills for Supervisors and Managers© and Managing Risk: Recognizing What Can Hurt Us© that focus on safety leadership, hazard recognition and reducing risk to improve safety performance. These courses have been taught to over 50,000 people, from the value line workers up to company' presidents on five continents and in six languages in a wide range of industries, including chemical processing, refining, petroleum exploration and production, mining, power generation, maintenance and construction.

In 2010 John Wiley & Son published Balmert's first book, Alive And Well At The End Of The Day: The Supervisor's Guide To Managing Safety In Operations, which continues to climb the business best-seller list.
