Topeka, KS Dodge Dealership Happy With Results At Barrett-Jackson Auction
New Viper Fetches hefty sum at auction with all proceeds being donated to charity
TOPEKA, Kan., June 26, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Briggs Dodge, a Dodge dealership in Topeka, Kansas, is happy to hear that the very first production 2013 SRT Viper GTS was bought for a pretty penny. That pretty penny translating to $300,000! This large sum of money was well worth it though, as all of the proceeds raised will be donated to the Austin Hatcher Foundation.
For those unaware, the Austin Hatcher Foundation supports children, and their families, who are dealing with some of the complications associated with pediatric cancer.
Dr. Jim Osborn, Chairman, of the Board of Directors, & Co-Founder of the Austin Hatcher Foundation, talked about what this means for the organization, stating that, "We're extremely grateful to team with SRT and Barrett-Jackson on this auction effort. The monies raised here will allow us to continue developing and funding services that empower families to live happy, meaningful and successful lives as pediatric cancer survivors."
Diving a little bit deeper into the new production 2013 SRT Viper GTS it's safe to say that the new owner didn't leave disappointed. It features a 8.4-liter V10 mid-engine that pumps out 640 horsepower as well as 600 lb./ft. of torque to go with it. Full-production is slated for later this year at Detroit's Conner Avenue Assembly Plant.
