Aristotle Awarded Voter Data Contract from Lockheed Martin
New District Boundaries, Enhanced Emails and Voter Interests Included
WASHINGTON, June 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Aristotle International, the leading nonpartisan political technology and data provider in the U.S., today announced a contract award from Lockheed Martin Desktop Solutions Inc. (DSI) for constituent contact and demographic data for federal, state and local government elected offices. The data will be integrated with CRM technologies that support constituent services.
Lockheed Martin DSI is the premier provider of correspondence and technology services to the House of Representatives. More than 350 Members of Congress and more than 20 governors as well as multiple state legislatures and leading municipalities use Lockheed Martin DSI for their constituent correspondence, workflow and casework management.
Aristotle will provide foundation contact information of constituents such as name, address, political boundary assignments and demographic information. The data enables congressional staff to more efficiently and personally respond to higher volumes of constituent mail and emails, and daily requests for constituent services.
Aristotle's highly accurate databases reflect the public records covering more than 185 million registered U.S. voters in over 3,100 counties and U.S. territories, plus adults residing in the U.S. who are not registered to vote, and some citizens of more than 100 nations. The files are regularly updated for currency and to reflect those who have moved or died. Enhancements to the files include listed telephone numbers and more than 40 million email addresses of individuals who prefer to receive correspondence by email. Constituents are given the option to 'opt-out' of emails from congressional offices prior to sending and at any subsequent time, if they so choose.
"We are very pleased to partner with Lockheed Martin in this venture. Continuous vetting and enhancements to our files have earned Aristotle the reputation as the market leader for political data and technology," said Aristotle CEO John Aristotle Phillips. "This is a significant win for our team, for congressional staff and for the constituents they serve. We look forward to providing accurate, reliable information to Lockheed Martin to complement their first-rate products and customer service on the Hill.
"Since our founding in 1983, our mission at Aristotle has always been to provide a broad range of information, innovative technology and services on a non-partisan basis, to facilitate the democratic process."
Aristotle was also awarded a contract in February from the Federal Voting Assistance Program (FVAP), an organization within the Department of Defense. FVAP was formed to assist uniformed service members, their families and overseas civilians to vote absentee.
As with the FVAP contract, Aristotle will be providing Lockheed Martin DSI with the new congressional redistricting data, which is determined by the results of the 2010 census and information on file with the Secretary of State or State Board of Elections. Many states' voter files do not yet reflect the new redistricting lines, the updating of which comprises an expertise Aristotle has pioneered over two decades. House offices will be permitted to use Aristotle data and emails to correspond with new constituents in new districts after the November 2012 elections. Prior to that, and beginning immediately, House offices may utilize voter data and emails, updated continuously, within their current districts.
Campaigns of challengers and incumbents, party committees, PACs and SuperPACs can use campaign funds to purchase Aristotle data at http://www.voterlistsonline.com, which includes FatCats™, primary and general election voting history, party affiliation and SuperVoters™. Campaigns also use Aristotle software such as Aristotle 360™ or Complete Campaign's Back Office™ to manage their campaign finance disclosure, online fundraising, voter contact and GOTV efforts.
For more than 25 years, every occupant of the White House — Democrat and Republican — has used Aristotle products and services, in addition to many U.S. Senators, members of the U.S. House of Representatives, and Democratic and Republican state party organizations.
