Yellowstone Recovery in the Community
COSTA MESA, Calif., May 28, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Yellowstone Recovery has always been involved in projects in the community that support men and women in recovery.
Last month Dr. Thames attended the Women's Symposium at UCLA where important leaders in the recovery community gathered to show their support of women in sobriety and find ways share the message with more women nationwide.
This year Dr. Thames also traveled to prisons across California, including Chino and Folsom. She went to present the message of recovery for men, the message of a better life. Many men are up for early release this year due to California Senate Bill 1509. Dr. Thames hopes that the men who were in the prisons where she carried her massage will see that a sober life like the ones led by the people of Yellowstone Recovery are better than the lives they were living before.
Yellowstone Recovery also supports recovery program for young people trying to get sober at a very early age. Many of our clients have young brothers and sisters who need to stay in school and learn how to stay sober. The Sober High School event coming up next month in Orange County is a good start toward helping the young Siblings of Yellowstone Recovery Residents. It will provide a place of recovery to educate youngsters 12-18 who are suffering with problems of addiction. This is an Important step in helping young people before they face adult consequences, jails or prisons.
Yellowstone Recovery supports men and women regardless of age who want to be part of recovery.
