WEARE, N.H., May 4, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Northland Tool & Electronics representatives will be on hand to discuss their comprehensive array of spindle rebuilding & repair services which provide an opportunity for manufacturers to minimize machine downtime, enhance machine performance and increase profitability. These potential benefits can be realized by companies in the four manufacturing sectors represented at Mfg4 Event 2012: aerospace, defense, medical and energy.

Northland Tool & Electronics has been rebuilding spindles for over 30 years, including CNC machining center & milling spindles, CNC lathe spindles, grinding spindles and woodworking spindles. Among their services offered are failure analysis, vibration analysis, dynamic spindle balancing, spindle upgrades and on-site spindle taper grinding. NTE has precision in-house grinding capability which enables extensive control of the quality of the final rebuild product. They are also a factory certified BIG PLUS spindle repair facility. Included among the machine brands serviced are Mori-Seiki, Anca, Doosan, Mazak, Okuma, Kitamura and Matsuura, to name a few.

Mfg4 Event 2012 is a conference on the future of manufacturing produced by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. It will be held May 8-10 at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, Connecticut and will bring together OEM's from the aerospace, defense, medical and energy manufacturing sectors. Northland Tool & Electronics will be exhibiting at booth 1151.

For the manufacturing sector to enjoy continued success, it is incumbent on companies and their support groups to continuously look at quality improvements in their process while incorporating cost saving measures which can be passed on to their customers. Northland Tool & Electronics has remained current with the constantly evolving design of machine tool spindles as well as new developments in process control which has enabled them to continue to abide at the forefront of the spindle repair field. They are one of the few spindle repair facilities which is able to keep the majority of the rebuild process under one roof. One example of this is their expanded grinding department that is dedicated solely to the remanufacture of precision spindle components. While many other companies which offer spindle repair services often send some or all of their grinding work to outside vendors, Northland Tool & Electronics has dedicated the time and effort to develop an in house program for grinding that is second to none. This enables them to not only hold the micron tolerances requisite for intricate spindle parts but to also maximize control of delivery times for these parts. This qualification was also a major factor in their ability to become a BIG PLUS authorized repair center, which is a distinction that is held by an elite few in the spindle rebuilding industry.

On June 6-7, Northland Tool & Electronics representatives will also be attending the Hardinge Machine Technology Show in Elmira, New York. Other Hardinge machine lines which will be on display include Bridgeport, Kellenberger and Jones & Shipman.
