Aerius cell phones may reduce the risk of brain cancer. While this has not been tested, Aerius won a 2009 Frost & Sullivan Award in Wireless Technologies due in part to CTIA Authorized lab tests that show Aerius eliminates SAR (the specific absorption rate of phone microwave radiation into users) 96.75 % below the US limit of 1.6 W/kg, and 97.4% below the EU limit of 2 W/kg.
Among other benefits Aerius SAR reductions that reduce 50% or more handset power loss into user also provide 2 to 4 more hours of battery life, compared to other phones sold worldwide into a market comprising more than 5.6 billion cell phone users.
According to Aerius CEO Bill Luxon, Aerius has developed high interest in introducing Aerius phones from Amazon.com, New Egg.com, and other major carriers and cell phone retailers worldwide.
"As their buyers have said," said Chuck Closterman, Aerius VP International Sales, "If you put two smart phones side by side, they have similar features, and one gives you 2 to 4 more hours of battery and eliminates radiation into the user, it's a no-brainer which one consumers will buy."
