"News Republic" featured in Google I/O Sandbox
Mobiles Republic app one of a select few to play in 'The Sandbox'
SAN FRANCISCO, June 28, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Mobiles Republic, a leading developer of mobile applications for smartphones and tablet devices, today announced that it has been selected by Google to participate in the Google I/O Sandbox as a test app for the newest Android platform release, Jelly Bean, Android 4.1. Mobiles Republic will showcase its flagship app: News Republic at this year's Google event.
The successful "News Republic" app has been optimized with specific updates, and will be shown in demonstration at the annual Google I/O event which showcases test partner's apps to developers and to the press on June 27 – 29, 2012 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. News Republic will participate and be showcased in the Android Developer's Sandbox as part of Google I/O.
Among the features to be showcased, are enhanced notifications that include rich media and new functionality for the app users. On this newest Android™ version of "News Republic", when readers receive a breaking news alert from the topics of their choice, those notifications can now include more detail, such as photos, videos, additional text, plus sharing and social features for reader engagement.
