Techo-Bloc acquires a manufacturing facility in Douglassville, PA
MONTREAL, June 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ - Techo-Bloc announced today the acquisition of a manufacturing facility in Douglassville, PA. The facility was formerly owned by Rinox LLC.
This acquisition will provide Techo-Bloc with the additional production and distribution capacity needed to meet the growing demand for our landscape products in the Mid-Atlantic and South Eastern United States.
Commenting on the acquisition, Techo-Bloc President Charles Ciccarello said, "We will continue to seek acquisition opportunities in the U.S. and Canada, with the objective of providing Techo-Bloc's superior line of landscape products within a greater geographic area."
Techo-Bloc will ensure that the Douglassville facility meets the company's standards of quality and excellence. "Customers can expect the same high standards they've grown accustomed to," said Ciccarello.
Techo-Bloc will retain the existing staff at Douglassville and has plans to hire additional staff.
Founded in 1989, Techo-Bloc is a family-owned company that specializes in the design and production of a wide range of hardscaping products such as pavers, retaining wall systems, patio slabs and masonry stones. The company's goal has always been to develop products that blend seamlessly and harmoniously with the natural environment. In the last few years, Techo-Bloc has developed five new residential and commercial permeable pavers and has strongly promoted their ecological benefits. Techo-Bloc serves residential and ICI markets from its seven plants—four in Canada and three in the United States. The company currently employs in excess of 400 people.
