ATLANTA, May 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Five Point Partners, an advisory and consulting services firm focused on the utility industry, today announced the completion of a merger with Turnpoint Solutions, a global consulting company that serves energy, mining, and transportation companies. The new Five Point aligns two privately owned, Atlanta-based companies with complementary consulting services and customer-centric cultures.
The merger enables Five Point to broaden its focus on helping clients navigate complex information technology decisions. The new company's customer base includes leading North American investor owned utilities, several of the largest municipal utilities, eight of the top ten global mining companies and the leading U.S. passenger rail company.
Five Point's CEO and co-founder, Kurt Zuch said, "This merger provides a major catalyst toward our long-term strategy. There is a tremendous opportunity to cross-pollinate our capabilities and expertise across our combined client base, and this also creates wonderful opportunities for our employees. This combination provides us scale and a stronger, global platform to deliver an increased range of services to both current and new clients alike."
Rick Higdon, Turnpoint's president and CEO said, "The merger combines Five Point's expertise around customer information systems (CIS and CRM) with Turnpoint's expertise with asset performance systems (EAM and ERP).
