reSET to Host First reSET After Hours Event on January 11, 2012


FARMINGTON, Conn., Dec. 28, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- reSET (Social Enterprise Trust) is pleased to announce they will be  holding their first reSET After Hours event on January 11, 2012. This event will be held at the Firebox Restaurant in Hartford, CT from 5:00-7:00 p.m. reSET After Hours is free for reSET Members, $5 for others, cash bar. 


reSET Social Enterprise Trust is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization whose mission is to promote, preserve and protect social enterprise.

reSET is working to create a hub of social enterprise in Connecticut by encouraging the development of creative, socially responsible organizations that aspire to do more than just make a profit, but are also dedicated to people, purpose, and planet. With dwindling public resources, social enterprise offers a key to solving many of the threatening issues of our day and at the same time to create meaningful and satisfying jobs.

At the event at the Firebox, social entrepreneurs, business and nonprofit leaders, educators, students, public advocates, investors, legislators and others will gather informally to consider how Connecticut can become a place where organizations that use the free market to create social good can flourish. Kate Emery, social entrepreneur and founder of reSET will be there to talk about new developments, including an Incubator and social entrepreneur courses.
