The March for Healthy Babies Begins May 19th
SPRINGVILLE, Utah, Feb. 29, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- On Saturday, May 19th, join hundreds of Utah County families in the March of Dimes' annual March for Babies, the nation's oldest walk fundraiser, to prevent and assist with premature births. This year's event is being held at Seven Peaks Waterpark in Provo, UT.
Registration begins at 10 a.m. with walk start time at 11 a.m. The money raised through the event will be used to support research and community programs that help mothers have full-term pregnancies and healthy babies.
"We envision this year's Utah County March for Babies as a celebration of our tremendous fundraising efforts, - a festive occasion to help with our goal of increasing the number of full-term pregnancies and healthy births," said Cindy Woolley, development manager for the Utah chapter of March of Dimes. "We wanted families to celebrate the possibility of a day when all children will be born full term and healthy. The activities we have planned are a way for us to create an environment that both helps accomplish our mission and provides a fun activity for families and supporters."
"I am proud to be a part of this amazing cause," said Colette Dahl, associate marketer at Neways Inc. and co-chair of the Utah County March for Babies. "Creating healthy homes and healthy communities is core to our mission at Neways, and we understand that those goals begin with healthy pregnancies and births."
"We are excited to have supported this worthy cause and event in Utah for several years now," said Michelle Harrison, organization development manager at IM Flash Technologies and co-chair of the Utah County March for Babies. "IM Flash participation has not only benefitted the community, but also has increased pride and morale among our employees."
