The hotels.com Suite Escapes Facebook promotion gives friends a chance to win one of 16 once-in-a-lifetime trips

DALLAS, Feb. 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Stop dreaming and start believing! A luxury vacation is at your fingertips and all you need is a Facebook account and three friends. The hotels.com® Suite Escapes promotion starts today, giving hotels.com Facebook fans a chance to win one of 16 trips to exotic destinations all around the world. If traveling with friends is on your wish list this year, it could be happening a lot sooner than you'd think.

The contest is simple: like hotels.com's Facebook page in your country; visit the Suite Escapes contest; create a virtual hotel suite for the current contest week and invite three Facebook friends to join. When all three friends have accepted the invitation, the entire group is automatically entered to win that hotel suite escape.

Suite Escapes is a six week campaign running on hotels.com's Facebook pages in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Australia, and New Zealand. Participants have five weeks to enter to win vacations to three of the world's best hotels each week. In the final week of the promotion, the 16th suite, the grand prize of seven nights in deluxe beach villas at the two-island Conrad Maldives Rangali Island Resort, will be drawn from all of the entries throughout the campaign.

"The Suite Escapes promotion is hotels.com's first social media contest crossing international borders. Hotels.com partnered with Matt Harding, also known as "Dancing Matt," for the Suite Escapes promotion. Known for his "Where the hell is Matt" videos, Harding is a YouTube sensation famous for his signature dances in exotic locales around the world. Harding visited each of the participating hotel destinations and those videos will be shown as teasers throughout the promotion.

"Matt is a great fit for the Suite Escapes promotion," said Cole. "His passion for travel and his quirky, yet humorous approach, make him the perfect representative for this exciting campaign."

The prizes for the Suite Escapes contest are nothing short of impressive and were contributed by key travel partners of hotels.com. All prizes include seven nights of hotel accommodation and airfare for four. Weekly suite giveaways include:

Participants can increase their chances of winning by submitting an entry for each of the 15 suites and encouraging friends to invite them to their suite entries as well. The prizing doesn't end there though, as all participants of the Suite Escapes promotion are also entered to win daily gift card prizes throughout the promotion.
