Gonzalez Office Products Honored With "Central Texas Ethics in Business Award"
AUSTIN, Texas, May 31, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Gonzalez Office Products received the "Central Texas Ethics in Business: TyRex Small Business Award," an honor bestowed by the Austin Samaritan Counseling Center at the 10th Annual "Ethics in Business Awards" luncheon at the Hyatt Regency in Austin, Texas. This achievement recognizes the company's commitment to exemplary practices in business ethics.
Wayne and Pam Gonzalez opened Gonzalez Office Products 10 years ago, emphasizing honesty, relationship development and Christian values as their guiding principles and mission. After the nomination phase, Gonzalez, along with other candidates, underwent a series of rigorous collaborative research steps performed by Concordia University Texas business undergraduates to gain a better understanding of the company's values and practices. The research reports were reviewed against the award criteria: "Be respectful, fair, honest, strive for justice and embrace sustainability," by a Selection Committee comprised of previous Ethics in Business Award recipients and individuals with a broad level knowledge and experience in ethical practices.
Gonzalez Office Products President, Wayne Gonzalez and Vice President, Pam Gonzalez both accepted the award on behalf of the company. "Throughout the years, we've had special people cross our path - employees, customers, competitors and vendors alike.
