Contexo Media to Host Regional Procedural Coding Changes Workshops in December 2012
ROCKVILLE, Md., June 29, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Medical coders, billers, payers and other healthcare administrative professionals whose primary role is ensuring their practice or facility is keeping pace with proper and compliant reimbursement procedures will gather at one of 4 regional events in December for Contexo Media's 2013 Procedural Coding Changes Workshops.
Participants will gather in Dallas, Boston, DC and Orlando for a thorough review of all of the 2013 CPT® code changes that the American Medical Association has planned for next year.
The conference will address all added, revised and deleted codes for 2013, including clarifications for important specialty specific CPT® coding changes. Guideline, modifier and E/M code updates will also be covered. All attendees can earn 7 CEUs from AAPC, AHIMA and AHCAE. For those who can't travel to any of the regional events, there is a live online workshop taking place on December 12 and an E-learning course after December 21.
"We had coders in mind when we designed and launched this event five years ago and it shows in our attendance," says Bradden Blair, Dean of Education, Contexo Media. "Unlike other conferences which are often overpriced and primarily physician focused, this one-day live conference is geared towards the coder and features two of the industry's foremost medical coding experts. Our experienced instructors will breathe life into the code set as they help coders master the 2013 procedural coding changes. We are also excited to once again be able to offer an e-learning version of our live conference."
Expert instructors include Susan Thurston, MA, CHCA, CPC, CPC-I,CPC-H, CPC-P, CCS-P, MCS-P, CHCO, CMM, RMC and Margie Scalley Vaught, CPC, CPC-H, CPC-I, CCS-P, MCS-P, ACS-EM, ACS-OR.
