GAHANNA, Ohio, May 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- G. Scott McComb, Chairman and President of Heartland BancCorp (OTC Bulletin Board: HLAN) announced at the Annual Shareholders Meeting that Robert C. Overs, Gary D. Paine and Richard A. Vincent were elected to the Board of Heartland BancCorp.  Mr. Overs, Mr. Paine and Mr. Vincent were also elected to the Heartland Bank Board.

In making the announcement, Scott McComb stated:  "We are very pleased to have Mr. Overs, Mr. Paine and Mr. Vincent as new board members.  Their ties to the community and extensive backgrounds in business and leadership skills complement the Boards' overall expertise. They are a valued addition to our Boards and we look forward to their insights and participation."

Mr. Overs is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Tech International and serves on their Board of Directors.  He graduated from The Ohio State University – The Max M. Fisher College of Business. Mr. Overs previously served on Heartland Bank's Advisory Board.

Mr. Paine is President of Pilot Freight Services, Pilot Air Freight and CMH Pilot Cartage Services.   He graduated from Robert Morris University.  Mr. Paine has been very active in his industry including Past President of the Council of Logistics Management, Past President of The Columbus Air Cargo Association and Board Member of the Columbus Region Logistics Council.  Mr. Paine has also served on the Heartland Bank Advisory Board.

Mr. Vincent is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Osteopathic Heritage Foundation. He graduated from Franklin University with a B. S. Business Administration and received his MBA from the University of Dayton.  Mr. Vincent has been involved in all aspects of the Osteopathic Heritage Foundation and their affiliate organizations, including Doctors Hospital health delivery system. Mr. Vincent's has held many leadership roles in his industry.
